I’ve always had a knack for bull-shitting life’s hardest and most dull moments. In my high school English class, I wrote an essay on a book I’d never read. The underlining story itself and character motivations were so brilliant that instead of reading what actually happened I made up my own twisted version. It must have been decent, I got a hundred percent. That was the moment I knew I was going to be a writer. Words are everyday weapons we use against the stupidity and mundanity that much of life brings. As a writer I get the opportunity to shape those weapons, casting them in sarcasm and wit, maybe a drizzle of empathy and social understanding.
